In the both project government will emphasis and try to revive old and ancient routes of Trade and Business between India and world, first we will tell you about Project Mausam and than about the Spice route initiative.

PROJECT MAUSAM

Word Mausam or Arabic word “Mawsin” refers to season, when air assist ships in sailing comfortably, it is a wind system of Indian ocean, the wind blows to south west between May to September and to north east between November to march.

This project is under Ministry of culture, under the supervision of ASI and the Indra Gandhi national centre of art as the research unit, which help in assisting the plan, the plan was suggested by the MR. Ravinder Singh, this is also nominated for the UNESCO heritage list too.

In the past, the sailor coming from the east Africa ad Arabian area or the from middle east, will use these winds to sail down to India, to carry out the trade with Indians people, based on it the government launched this project to link India with its past glory, interestingly, china is too pushing for its own project of Maritime Silk Road in the India ocean region.

About 5000 year ago, during Indus civilization, the traders from dilmun or Yemen, were travelling between India and the middle east through this routes, the India was connected with plenty of nations like East Africa, Arabian peninsula, Yemen, UAE, Qatar ,IRAN, MAYANMAR VIETNEM ETC.

These winds not even helped in economic interrelation but also in, social, economic, cultural and religious too, the earliest Muslim settler came to Malabar, through this system.

The project consists of two folds that are,

1- Macro level, it aims to reconnect, revive and re establish, the communication between the countries around the Indian ocean region, which in turn will propel the Understanding of each other demand and ethics, and than lead to building of confidence beteen the nations.

2- Micro level, under it the cultural value will be weighted and culture will be scanned, and there importance in Indian ocean imitative will be evaluated.

For India the Indian ocean is very important, both strategically and economically, because most of the trade taken place through it of India, the oil is mostly reach India through it.

The china is also a factor which leaded to this project, because the china is trying to penetrate into its hegemony over Indian Ocean. The Gwadar port initiative also leaded to it.

India proposed this project in the 38th session of World Heritage committee which met at Doha.

Raja mal dev of Jammu   In 850 AD a new ruling dynasty ushered in jammu history, the name of its ruler was suffixed with “Dev”,   so it was called as   “dev” dynasty.   The first ruler was Suraj Dev son of Bajar Dhar.
