Powers of Prime Minister

POWER OF PRIME MINISTER
In Indian parliamentary system the prime minister is the head of the government, he is a leader, who is elected by the majority of Loksabha,  he is the leader of lower house too.
He is the de-facto head of the state, other than the ceremonial head, the president.
After every general election, new member of parliament are elected y the people, under the FPTP system, which mean first past the position, than the majority party elects its own leader, and president make him to take oath, and then with consultation of PM the president a lot portfolio among  others.
POWER OF PM
1- In council of minister, he enjoy power of giving portfolio to Member of Parliament or Any other person, he find suitable for that position.
2- The president is bound to accept his suggestion regarding the allocation of portfolio.
3- He can reshuffle and reallocate the portfolio among the minister
4- He presides the meeting of council and play  a dominant role in it
5- He control guide actions of minister if he resigns the council get dissolve automatically

PRESIDENT AND PRIME MINISTER
1- It is a bridge between the council of the minister and the president of India
2- He advices and guide the president about the appointment of the Attorney General, the UPSC Chairman, CAG etc
3-  Acc to article 74 the council of minister and pm aid and advice the president the president shall exercise of his function with accordance to advice by them . president can still send back the suggestion but after reconsideration by pm and council of minister s , he is liable to take decision as rendered by them .
4-  Under article 75 the pm shall be appointed by president other minister by pm suggestion minister enjoy office during the pleasure of president
PARLIAMENT AND THE PRIME MINISTER
1- He is the leader of the lower house that’s Lok Sabha
2-  He recommends the president about summoning and about conducting of both houses of parliament and about its sessions
3- He can dissolve the lower house o the Lok Sabha any time he wish
4-  He announce important and vital policies in the house
 OTHER POWERS
1- He is the chairman of NITI Ayog before it he was also enjoyed chairmanship over Planning Commission and NDC , both bodies are now abolished
2- He guide shape and forge the foreign policy of India and take care of international affairs.
3- He is the spokesperson of union of India
